2011 Miss Oshkosh Appearances
Come and join us at the "Love Lights Shine Brightly"!
LOVE LIGHTS SHINE BRIGHTLY FOR 9TH YEAR
OSHKOSH, Wis., Nov, 21,2011 – You are invited to start the Holiday Season by enjoying the sparkling lights that will adorn our Love Lights trees in front of Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh on Sunday, December 4 at 4 p.m.
The Love Lights program is a successful event across northeastern Wisconsin to remember loved ones. This year, three different evergreen trees will take on three different and very special meanings: A white tree for remembrance of dear loved ones, a red, white and blue patriotic tree for our military men and women, and a multi-colored tree for honoring individuals or occasions.
The talented students from Oshkosh Christian will entertain and 2011 Miss Oshkosh Kelsey McDaniel will also speak & plays the violin. Our special military speaker will be Clarence Jungwirth who will touch on the Old Glory Honor Flights & what they mean to our wonderful veterans. Refreshments will be served after the moving ceremony.
The trees will be lit at approximately 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4 outside the lobby of the hospital, at 855 Westhaven Dr., Oshkosh (back of building). The ceremony takes place in our hospital lobby. Everyone is welcome to attend this free community event to honor or remember someone special. Donations assist us in lighting up the trees and providing program support.
All funds raised from the Love Lights program remain in Winnebago County and are used for community health programs and to promote the health and well being of Winnebago County people. Anyone interested in supporting the Lights of Love program may contact John Nieman, Manager of Volunteer & Spiritual Services at 456-7013 or john.nieman@aurora.org to receive more information.
