Shirley Ehlers lives in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin and has owned and operated Concepts Bridal and Formalwear for over 17 years. She has been involved with the Miss Door County Scholarship Program since it began 17 years ago. She was the Business Manager for many years and has been the Executive Director for the past 8 years. The Miss Door County Program has grown over the past few years, having the Princess Program for the past 5 years, and this year was the third Miss Door County’s Outstanding Teen Program. Shirley has judged many local pageants over the years. She enjoys traveling, especially going to California to visit her daughter. In 2010, she had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas. She would not have missed it as one of her former Miss Door County’s, Kimberly Sawyer (was Miss Door County in 2008) was named Miss Wisconsin 2010. Shirley has 2 sons, 1 daughter and 2 grandsons.
Don Vanden Heuvel
Don Vanden Heuvel has been volunteering in the Miss Wisconsin pageant system for over ten years as both a coach and a judge. He is proud to continue that tradition tonight with the Miss Oshkosh pageant. Don is the founder of Daughters and Dads, a non-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen relationships between girls and their fathers through information, inspiration and perspiration. Don is also the President and CEO of an inventory management company. Don, his wife Michele and their three children, Eve, John and Aaron live in Kimberly.
Has a degree in theatre performance from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, CA. She has successfully put her creativity to use through many avenues of entrepreneurships, both in business and the arts. Her years of training and experience in singing, dance, theatre, graphic arts, design, sales and business offer a diverse set of skills to the judging panel. She’s currently an active volunteer and a member of the Appleton Alliance Church. An advocate, volunteer and supporter of the Bella Medical Clinic. She is the proud mother of three children and is an eager and expectant first time grandmother in May. Dinah resides in Appleton, WI.
Meghan Coffey received her Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School in May of 2011, and is currently working as an associate attorney at a law firm in Brookfield, WI specializing in patents, copyrights and trademarks. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette in May of 2006. Shortly following graduation, Meghan was named Miss Wisconsin 2006 and had the honor of representing this state and the Miss America Organization throughout her year of service, as well as promoting her personal platform – bringing focus to emergency heart care procedures, and implementation of automatic external defibrillators in public places. Shi is a former member of the Marquette University Dance Team and the Energee! Dance Team for the Milwaukee Bucks, and a member of the Daley Debutantes Baton and Drum Corps. Meghan continues to share her passion for a dance and baton as a teacher and coach, and remains involved with the Miss America Organizations as a volunteer for several local programs in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Joe Neumaier is a resident of Monona, Wisconsin. He was employed at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, prior to his retirement.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Edgewood College of the Sacred Heart in Madison
For the past 10 years he has been the Executive Director of the Miss Madison – Capital City Scholarship Pageant. Joe and his partner Ron are the founding sponsors of the Jean L. Anderson Evening Wear Scholarship awarded each year at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant.
His activities include boating on Lake Monona, power walking and gardening. He enjoys traveling every year to Florida and the Bahamas. He also has traveled to Atlantic City, New Jersey and Las Vegas, Nevada for the Miss America Pageant. Joe enjoys judging state local pageants and has judged at the state level for the Miss American Outstanding Teen Pageant.
