Miss Oshkosh Scholarship Pageant and Miss Oshkosh's Outstanding Teen

The Oshkosh Area Women’s Association (formerly Women’s Division of Oshkosh Area) is accepting applications for our 2016 Miss Oshkosh’s Outstanding Teen. This is an appointed title and the new titleholder will be officially crowned at the Miss Oshkosh pageant on March 12th, 2016.

Applicants should be between the ages of 13-17 and must live or go to school in Winnebago County.  To request more information and an application, please contact Michelle Hammett, Teen Chairperson, at m.hammett@charter.net before January 31, 2016 and include your email address and telephone number.

  • Most money raised for Children’s Miracle Network: Jamie Karlic - $100 scholarship
  • Non-finalist Talent: (there was a tie in this category) Kimberly Deringer and Alexi Charneski - Each will receive $750
  • Non-finalist Interview: Jamie Karlic - $700
  • Highest Interview Score: (there was a tie in this category) Susan Fochs and MeKenzie Lund - Each will receive a $100 scholarship
  • All other contestants will receive a $400 Scholarship

The Women’s Division of the Oshkosh Area is offering a ONE YEAR Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00. The Scholarship is open to all Oshkosh School District High School Seniors or any High School Senior who’s home address is Oshkosh and is continuing their education in a 1 or 2 year associates degree or four year plus accredited program. Join us for this exciting new fundraiser to benefit Clarity Care at Home, Habitat for Humanity and the Women’s Division’s high school scholarship fund.
Sample delicious appetizers and hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and food vendors.  Raffle tickets will be available (3 for $5) for a chance to win a Ladies “ToyWatch”; a Link Computing Solutions Package; or $100 cash.  Don’t miss the special raffle to be held that evening for a diamond necklace or a chance to spin the wheel for wonderful prizes.  Be sure NOT to miss this very special evening. The Miss Oshkosh Scholarship Pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant. Miss Oshkosh is one of the top three local pageants in Wisconsin providing the most scholarship money, with special thanks to the Women's Division of Oshkosh.  What a great way to help further your education!  The Miss America Organization (MAO) is one of the world's largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women.

The Miss Oshkosh Pageant follows the MAO guidelines and includes these phases of competition:

  • Presence and Poise in Evening Wear
