Miss Oshkosh Scholarship Pageant
We have been asked to do the gates at Waterfest on Sep 2nd. It is the Thursday before
Labor Day weekend. It also is the last Waterfest for the year. The main band playing is
Motley Crue.
I sent a sheet around at the quarterly meeting and we already have 14 signed up. We do
need 36. It is an easy job and for a couple hours work, our organization receives $500.
You do not need to be a member to help. Ask a friend, husband, relative. Each person
who helps receives a wristband and 2 tickets for food/soda.

Shana Pawlowicz, our 2010 Miss Oshkosh, won Thursday night's Swimsuit Prelim and placed in the Top 10. Congrats Shana!

The Miss Oshkosh Scholarship Pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss America Pageant. Miss Oshkosh is one of the top three local pageants in Wisconsin providing the most scholarship money, with special thanks to the Women's Division of Oshkosh. What a great way to help further your education! The Miss America Organization (MAO) is one of the world's largest providers of scholarship assistance for young women.
Miss Oshkosh receives:
$3,000 Scholarship
$6000 Scholarship in kind at Marian College of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
1st Runner-Up:
$1,600 Scholarship
2nd Runner-Up:
$1,150 Scholarship
3rd Runner-Up:
$950 Scholarship
4th Runner-Up:
$850 Scholarship
Non Finalist Talent Award - $750
Non Finalist Interview Award - $650
Ticket Award - $100 Gift Certificate
Miss Congeniality - Silver Tray
All participating contestants receive:
$350 Scholarship, a gift from Women's Division, and a gift of Avon from Sue Ellingsen
The Miss Oshkosh Pageant follows the MAO guidelines and includes these phases of competition:
- Interview
- Lifestyle and Fitness in Swim wear
- Artistic Expression in Talent
- On-stage Question
- Presence and Poise in Evening Wear
By entering the Miss Oshkosh Pageant, you are making one step closer to becoming Miss America!
